Hey guys, I know it’s been a while since I put together a Blog post but I didn’t need much persuading when the team at Wookie recently contacted me to do a review on their newly released T8-AML-V3 Media Box.
First and foremost, before I had chance to open the device, I was initially impressed by how quick the item was despatched and how well packaged it was. Thumbs up for that one guys, customer service at it’s best.

Pretty impressive in theory given those specs, but I can safely say it does deliver what it says on the box. If you want a box that’s fast and 100% responsive then this is your device. But I will come back to the gushing praise later once I’ve gone through what it’s capable of in my step by step review.
Unpackaging the device
The packaging itself is sleek, contemporary, and certainly gives the impression that the device I was about to open was not a cheap generic import like so many on the market. Everything I needed to get started was contained in the box, it was a case of hooking everything up to my TV and away we go. Anything that isn’t complicated is a bonus i’d say.
Navigating around the T8-AML-V3
The homescreen on the T8-AML-V3 is so easy to navigate, I reckon your granny could do it whilst sucking lemons. There’s even an easy to use clean memory function that keeps your device running smoothly for the best performance possible. All the apps you need can be found under 3 sections “Google Play”, “Aptoide”, and the “Wookie” app store. Downloading any app you require is fast and trouble free, well it was for me but I am on fibre broadband, and I suspect most of you guys will probably be too by now.
I know most of you would be purchasing a device such as the T8-AML-V3 to use Kodi and all of it’s entertainment goodness. What I need to firstly point out is that EntertainmentBox does not install any of the packages that come with Kodi or any of the add ons, Kodi comes completely empty. It is entirely up to yourselves to install and maintain. As with all software such as Kodi it is your responsibility to understand the implications of installing such a package. You all use kodi at your own risk.
Running Kodi on the T8-AML-V3
I made a point of leaving the review until a few weeks after I had received the device to see what implications I would encounter from all aspects of the product on a day to day running basis. I can safely say that after putting the T8-AML-V3 through it’s paces, and pushing it’s boundaries it didn’t encounter any issues at all. I even hooked the device up to my sound bar via an optical cable and the sound quality is absolutely phenomenal. Loading a movie or TV show from various add ons within Kodi has proven to be faster than any other device I’ve had the pleasure of owning. It’s a whole new cinematic viewing experience, and in my opinion for the reasonable price tag that comes with it makes it well worth investing in.
Web Browser functionality
Browsing the internet on the T8-AML-V3 just got faster, infact it’s faster than any device I’ve owned before. Hook up a bluetooth keyboard and away you go, you have got yourself a mini PC without the expensive price tag. It’s capable of switching from page to page without any lag, freezing or being unresponsive. I must say it’s very impressive.
This device can do so much. It brings about a new era in Entertainment capabilities. I’ve pushed all my other devices aside since receiving this and could not be happier with what it has delivered, and delivered it has.
